Description:
The objective of this course is to provide a working knowledge of reservoir pore space and flow barrier distribution and procedures used to develop, characterize, and manage reservoirs for the purpose of optimizing recovery.
Many practical exercises and case studies provide insight and experience in development. Determination of net pay and reserves is reviewed. Deterministic and stochastic modeling techniques, especially for reservoir simulation, are discussed.
Who Should Attend: This school is for geologists, geophysicists, and supervisors involved in field development from appraisal and development drilling , reservoir characterization and management, to redevelopment.
  Biographical Sketch:
John S. Sneider, an exploration and development consultant, has over 12 years experience in E & P projects in the North Sea, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Trinidad, Gulf Coast, and the Permian Basin. He received a B.S. and an M.S. from Texas A&M University and his Ph.D. from Rice University.
