Did you know that downtown Houston has some of the most fascinating geology? In the walls and floors of many of our downtown landmarks are some of the most beautiful and exotic rocks from around the world.

Please join area experts in a tour of the city. There is no better way to be a citizen scientist in your community.

Please email Martha McRae at mmcrae1@houston.rr.com or Neal Immega at n_immega@swbell.net  for details and information.

The tour will begin at 2pm in front of the One Shell Plaza building (910 Louisiana St.).  The walking tour will take about 2 hours to complete.

The field trip has no registration fee and is open to the public with minors welcome when accompanied by an adult.

The tour includes visits to 8 sites downtown Houston. Click the map below to obtain a larger size map to review before you come to the tour.
