Excursion at the Offshore Technology Conference

The AAPG Young Professionals is presenting a learning event to be held at the 2005 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).  The goal of this endeavor is to provide a better frame of reference for less experienced professionals on products and services used in oil fields, especially professionals that do not spend a lot of time on operational locations. This is a chance to learn about and view first hand, a variety of oil field services and equipment.   Representatives of Halliburton will lead the Young Professionals through the exhibit hall of the OTC.  There will be opportunities to ask questions of knowledgeable Halliburton employees.  They will cover as many aspects of oil field operations as possible including drilling, logging and production.

We will have the tour on Wednesday May 4th  from 9:00 am to approximately 12:00 noon.

This event is open to all energy professionals. 

We are planning to finish around noon so participants will have the rest of the day to see any items of particular interest in the exhibit hall or technical sessions.  We are planning for about 50 participants and Haliburton will be providing free visitor passes.  If we have significantly more or less interest prior to the event we may be able to modify the plans, so please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to attend.    

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

 If you would like to attend, but have not pre-registered, just show up at the GUEST PASS COUNTER near the registration booth between 8:30 - 8:45AM. This will be a chance for attendees to register for a guess pass at this point and we will wait a few extra minutes to accommodate. We will then move to Halliburton's booth for our first stop at approximately 9:15AM.
