Cost is $4650 per person and includes bus transpo rtation from Las Vegas to Marble Canyon through Zi on National Park\, double occupancy room at Cliff Dwellers Lodge\, 8-days/7-nights on the river incl uding a sleep kit and all meals on the river\, dri nks on the river\, and transportation back to eith er Las Vegas or Marble Canyon (if you prefer to dr ive yourself to and from Marble Canyon). Mattie worked at the U.S. Geological Survey in the Geology\, Geophysics\, and Geochemistry Scienc e Center in Denver\, CO\, where she was involved i n studies related to geochronology of regions with mineral deposits. In 2018 Mattie joined Anadarko Petroleum in the Midland office\, and then transit ioned to Oxy in 2019. Mattie is currently an Appra isal Geologist working in the Delaware Basin. Matt ie grew up exploring the Big Horn Mountains in Wyo ming\, which lead to her love of many outdoor acti vities including hiking\, running\, biking and cli mbing! Mattie attended the 2021 HGS Grand Canyon t rip with Ross Harrison and is excited to go back i n 2023!\n \n mmreid4@gmail.com\n \n  \;\n \n \ n \n Ross Harrison \;\n \n Ross Harrison holds a BA in English from TCU\, a BS in Geology from L SU\, and an MS in Geology from TCU. Ross worked su pporting various modern sedimentology projects rel ated to the Mississippi River Delta and Louisiana Gulf Coast at the LSU Coastal Studies Institute wh ile at LSU and completed a depositional environmen t study of various formations in the CBM-producing Raton Basin while at TCU. Ross has been at Oxy in the Permian EOR Business Unit since interning in 2017\, working large carbonate and mixed carbonate -siliciclastic conventional reservoirs undergoing secondary and tertiary recovery. Ross enjoys doing anything in the sun\, including but not limited t o running\, climbing\, fishing\, hiking\, reading\ , and learning.
