Fir st through the application of 3D seismic in establ ished provinces\, the advent of deep-water drillin g in the 90ies\, the opening of subtle (stratigrap hic) play trends and finally through the rise of u nconventional resources.\n \n We will also look at how hiring &\; firing cycles influence researc h\, university enrollment and staff demographics t o arrive at the present-day state of our demograph ics globally.\n \n This talk provides the perspect ive of a single individual\, and therefore is just that! It should make for an entertaining\, though t-provoking and perhaps educational experience.\n \n  \;\n \n Bio\n \n Dr. Rene Jonk\n \n \n \n Rene is the director of ACT-Geo\, a company that s pecializes in subsurface consulting and training.
