The formation'\;s lithium c oncentration\, strategic location\, and strong com munity support make the trend highly favorable for a first-of-its-kind direct lithium extraction (DL E) project.\n \n The electric vehicle and energy s torage markets are driving long-term lithium deman d. Government incentives to onshore lithium supply \, and demand from EV manufacturers\, and gigafact ories seeking to secure domestic lithium supply th rough offtake contracts are creating significant m arket momentum.\n \n Smackover Lithium is a joint venture between Standard Lithium and Equinor.
