It covers key concepts in selecting logging tools\, optimizing data acqui sition. Participants will explore structural and f racture interpretation and in-situ stress analysis .\n \n  \;\n \n Participants will learn to:\n \n  \;\n \n &bull\; Explain the basic principl es of formation image log data interpretation\, in cluding the purpose and benefits of using differen t formation image logging tools. \n \n &bull\;Comp are the various current formation image logging to ols by discussing their theory\, applications\, ad vantages\, and limitations\, as well as strategies for optimizing data acquisition.\n \n &bull\;Appl y structural dip and fracture analysis techniques to interpret subsurface geological features and as sess in-situ stress conditions using image logs.\n \n &bull\;Summarize the integration of borehole i mages with core\n \n  \;\n \n Instructor Overv iew:\n \n Manfred Frass\n \n \n \n A seasoned geos cientist and petrophysical expert with over 35 yea rs of international experience in the energy secto r\, spanning Latin America\, North America\, and E urope. Graduated in 1981 from the School of Geolog y\, Mines\, and Geophysics at the Central Universi ty of Venezuela (UCV)\, and began an academic care er as an Instructor and Assistant Professor at UCV &rsquo\;s Earth Science Institute from 1982 to 199 1.\n \n In 1992\, transitioned to the oilfield ser vices industry with Schlumberger\, where\, over a decade\, held technical and commercial roles in wi reline and LWD interpretation across Venezuela\, T rinidad\, Colombia\, Peru\, Ecuador\, Mexico\, and Continental Europe. Positions included ID Geologi st\, Sales Manager\, and Marketing &\; Sales En gineer.\n \n In the 2000s\, led business developme nt and technical support roles in Mexico for Schlu mberger DCS and Veritas Geophysics. Joined Weather ford in 2007\, where he advanced to Global Technic al Support and Marketing for open-hole and LWD ser vices\, then served as Subsurface Geoscience Inter pretation Manager for Latin America.\n \n From 201 4 to 2020\, worked at Occidental Petroleum (OXY) i n Houston\, first as a Senior Petrophysical Adviso r and later as a Global Petrophysical Consultant\, supporting unconventional reservoir evaluation an d petroleum system modeling.\n \n Most recently se rved as Technical Engineering Manager for LWD at N abors International (2020&ndash\;2021)\, overseein g tool performance and service quality across oper ations.\n \n Throughout his career\, he has bridge d academic insight\, technical interpretation\, an d commercial leadership to deliver value in explor ation\, development\, and production settings.
