Mission Statement

  Technofest

This is a fun and educational way to view the latest technology and research presented by approximately 40 vendors in an exhibit-hall style display. It’s also a great place to see old friend/colleagues, socialize, and network. There will be finger foods, a limited time sponsored bar.

The first Summer Technofest was held July 24, 1997, to provide the HGS membership with an informal venue in which to view and review the changing technical landscape. Light food and drinks fed the body while sales pitches, demonstrations, networking, and conversations fed the mind. Twenty-six companies bought booth space for the event. A wide range of products was displayed, from geochemistry and seismic analysis software, digital well log libraries by way of the Internet, to mapping, reservoir, and modeling packages.
