 7th HGS/PESGB African Conference
 
“Opportunity from Coast to Coast”

  September 8-9-10, 2008
Marriott Houston Westchase Hotel, Houston, Texas
   
 This annual conference has become established as the primary technical E & P conference on Africa. Scheduled for 8-9-10 September 2008 in Houston, a two-day program of talks is planned on the 9th and 10th along with technical posters as well as exhibits from sponsoring companies. Opening reception will be in the exhibits/ posters area on Monday evening September 8th.
The conference series, organized by members of the International Group of Houston Geological Society (HGS) and Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) covers all aspects of African E&P, with particular emphasis on new ideas for plays and prospects, the geology of the continent and its conjugate margins, and application of emerging technologies.

Focus for Talks or Posters

·        Case Histories of Discoveries

·        Ideas for plays and prospects

·        Play ideas from other areas with application in Africa

·        New concepts of tectonics, stratigraphy, structure ….

·        New applications of technologies

·        New understanding of geology that influence where or how we explore

             Talks 9AM -5 PM (West Africa and South Atlantic)
