West side of building shown in Figure One . Note flexure of sidewalk adjacent to the "auto insurance" sign. Of interest in this photo is the four inches of horizontal separation displayed in the sidewalk adjacent to the newspaper stand. Dark area crossing sidewalk appears to be a 3-inch extensional crack between concrete slabs. The photo shows both downward separation and horizontal extension of the concrete sidewalk slab.
